THE MONSTERS OF GOKROTH REVIEW
I was expecting a boring, unadventurous and clichéd story from this monthly, however I reminded myself I should never judge a story before it comes out. But I was completely right with this one.
The plot is exactly what I was expecting, a story about an evil person up in a castle who isn't actually evil, and some villagers rebelling against them because they made some monsters. It's just so clichéd and really doesn't bring anything new to the table that we haven't seen before.

Mags is alright, but she's nothing special. Kamelion was interesting because he's a robot, but Mags is just a normal girl who turns into a werewolf very often. Her personality isn't even all that fun, and the werewolf thing just gets annoying after a while.

There's a twist at the end that made me sigh so heavily. It's one of those twists that the writer uses to attempt to put something clever into their work, there's no previous hints or justifications to it so it's not clever or cool at all.

Overall, a very unadventurous and clichéd story. 4/10

TEMPEST REVIEW

'Tempest' brings us a fantastic, and wonderfully creative villain in the form of....wind. Oh wait, it's not fantastic or wonderful: it's stupid and holds no tension whatsoever.

The villain in this one is probably the worst villain I've ever seen. It's the wind. The bloody wind. It's not even doing much malevolent, just causing storms, occasionally going sucky, and speaking a tiny bit. That's meant to be a villain?

The main issue with this story that I had is side characters. The story has two of the most annoying side characters I've ever heard on audio: an old woman in a hut, and a man on an oil rig. The woman just has a very annoying voice and personality, and the man is written so stupidly and literally just put there to serve as a half villain for the story when the writer realised their main one was a bit crap.

The plot is also abominable and intensely boring, the story is only around 45 minutes (presumably due to lack of sufficient ideas to make it an hour) yet feels like it's a lot longer. The whole unit team makes incredibly stupid choices and overall just didn't impress me at all.

Overall, a boring, untense, and villainless story. 2/10

Nothing exciting really happens, it's just pretty much Gwen standing around and talking with two perverts for an hour
