I’d guess this story is supposed to be a bit of fun, but it just isn’t. There aren’t really any funny lines and there’s a lot of serious things happening that the script doesn’t seem to want to take seriously.

The plot with the zombie plague doesn’t get much of an explanation. I’m not sure if it was linked to the mask or not.

The acting wasn’t great in places either. Hector wearing the mask wasn’t great to listen to but Ace was quite cringy.

I don’t think Sophie Aldred can really be blamed entirely, some of the delivery is but over the top but she’s written badly so what else can she do?

Quite disappointing overall and this Hector Trilogy doesn’t actually know what to do with him. They should have got rid of the character in Afterlife and just moved on.

It’ll be hard to review this story, I don’t really think I ever got hold of the plot or what was happening. The little kids voice was clearly an older women trying to do a little boy and it really grated on me how fake it sounded.

This story is such a mess, I’m just going to list some things that fill this story that isn’t add anything; The queens walk on
The Skinheads,
Mrs Remington.

The storyline has some promise, several factions fight over a sentient weapon. That’s a great concept but nothing happens with it. The neo nazis just turn up and get killed, the cybermen just come off as weak and Lady Peinforte is just bonkers.

And it’s supposed to be the 25th anniversary! I like how everyone just ignores that these days.

What happens when you do a murder mystery where you take out the mystery and watch some cricket and people eating a buffet instead? You get this. I don’t want to be so harsh but I really don’t see how this story gets lifted above the twin dilemma. I really think it might be the worst Doctor Who story in the classic series.
