Doctor Who meets the 39 Steps. This story begins with a mysterious message from the Eleventh Doctor with a double meaning that sends the Doctor and Charley into a world of intrigue in Pre-World War II Great Britain. The story manages to capture the flavor of the 39 Steps as well as the fun that was so big a part of life in the TARDIS for the Doctor and Charley for their first two seasons together.

The final scene was a bit over the top and indulgent, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks in part on India Fisher's lively reading.

Enemy Aliens is the Eighth Doctor's story for the Destiny of the Doctor range and instead of going for a story with the current version of Dark Eyes Eight, Alan Barnes has decided to go with an earlier version of Eight, still the breathless romantic that is travelling with Charley Pollard. The story involves the Eighth Doctor and Charley receiving a message from the Eleventh Doctor in 1935 just after completing another adventure that has made the front page news and what follows is a great romp about murder and spies and enemy aliens and the William Tell Overture. It embodies those early Eighth Doctor stories feeling most like The Stones of Venice or Invaders from Mars and is a great listen.

Reminded me of Thirty Nine Steps. India Fisher narrated wonderfully.

The Eighth Destiny of the Doctory story features the Eighth Doctor and Charlie. The narration in this story from India was excellent even though her eight doctor parts didn't quite capture his presents in the story but it was a good effect. The actual story was very good and entertaining.
