Review to justify rating

I take it as a given that an audio production from Big Finish will be of a high quality - the soundscape, music, acting and directing - and this release is no exception. So my ratings are always based on how much I enjoyed the story. How much fun I had listening.

Series two is one story told in four parts.

Part 3 - Seed of Chaos
I cannot help thinking where are UNIT, where is Torchwood? This story would seem to be more appropriate to their ranges or if it is an alternative earth why then have an ex-companion of the Doctor in it? My buggy issue with this Charlotte Pollard boxset is the fact that Charlotte Pollard is in it. If the writer wanted to tell this story it should not have been with this character.

Again this is all just my personal opinion. I am not a professional reviewer. My score is based in my personal enjoyment. And with every part of this story my enjoyed level decreases.

This third episode finds the world going to pieces as Charley and the gang try to get Woking to safety. Given all the theoretically exciting and interesting stuff that happens in this episode, it's quite bizarre that ends up feeling so glacially paced at some points. The story suffers from a great deal of padding, mainly in that so much of the episode is spent trying to convince Naomi's editor of the truth of what's going on. The problem is that they're only required to convince her because they went to the news station, but in the long-term she's not that important to the story nor is she much more than the stock tough editor type. The result is that much of the run-time feels wasted. Still, what does happen is quite interesting and creates a sense of mystery for the finale.
