Review to justify rating

I take it as a given that an audio production from Big Finish will be of a high quality - the soundscape, music, acting and directing - and this release is no exception. So my ratings are always based on how much I enjoyed the story. How much fun I had listening.

Series two is one story told in four parts.

Part 2 - Ruffling
The benefit of a boxset made up of individual stories is that if you don’t like a setting or the people involved it is only one CD and you can move on to somewhere, with someone different. Unfortunately this is just more of the same and sorry it is not for me.

A direct continuation of the previous story and it manages to hold and deepen interest in the strange goings on in London. Charley and Robert continue to be adorable: one from the far future, one from nearly a century previously, both struggling to be on the run from the government. Their fun interactions as Robert begins to discover that adventure means danger and unpredictability are quite enjoyable.

However, if that was all this story had, the box set's action would grind to a hault. The supporting cast continues to be very fun and intriguing. In addition, to the mysterious alien menace, both Woking and Rab are men of mystery who really make you wonder what they're really up to. And then of course, there's their Viyran friend.

The only problem is that Charley seems to be of being lost in her own series. However, she ends up holding her own and through the first half, this series did a good job holding my attention.
