The Doctor and Ace arrive on a space tourist shuttle where the ship is stranded and several of the passengers have been liquified and the Captain doesn't want to hear anything about a rescue.

This is a story that manages to evoke the horror Ace felt during, "Ghost Light," while being a fairly amusing comedy with a cast of characters that manages to play off the Doctor well, without requiring him to go out of character to get laughs.

Rather a nice ending to the last release of the year from the 7th Doctor. The last adventure see's No.7 and ACE land once again on the Daedalus a cruise hip in space, offering that just extra special holiday experience for the discerning person who wants to experience. Except that everything is and has gone wrong, people are literally turning into soup. They are disintegrating into primeval mush, and the crew are and passengers are slowly being reduced. The advent of a Doctor on the scene is greeted with a very welcome and warm reception. However their is a sub plot at play here, and that is that the reason that the passengers are being turned into goo, is that, a rather unscrupulous alien race of pirates, are trying to sell the Earth and one of the things that they do before the sell any planet is rid it of it's current occupants, and that is exactly what they are doing, and the method of infection is through the airwaves. Will the Doctor stop the Earth and it's inhabitants from being turned into soup, and will he be able to work out, which of the Daedalus crew have had a hand in this, and why has the Tardis bought them here. All is reveled. This for me was a rather cracking end to the whole release. For one thing the last three stories certainly made up for the first one which I thought was poor in it's execution. This however, showcases all you and I have come to love from Sylvester and Sophie. Once again John Culshaw is excellent and I think certainly one that Big Finish should use more often. Competent and well produced entertaining and enthralling are the best way to summerise this release. For that this as put this into a different class.
