The Scales of Injustice seems to have a rather mediocre premise when looking at it from far away. Its main purpose that is pointed to is continuity between Season 7 and 8 and about Warriors of the Deep. Even though, yes this is the case, it's not why this book is excellent.

This book provides an excellent insight into all the main characters from Season 7, especially looking into Liz and the Brigadier and how their home lives are affected by U.N.I.T and it goes into very serious stuff with them in particular.

To read this book and get max enjoyment out of it, a refresher on the six previous Brig stories (Web, Invasion, Spearhead, Silurians, Ambassadors and Inferno) with a definite rewatch for the Silurians. You'll also need a wiki page open during the U.N.I.T scenes in the story as a lot of returning soldiers, corporals and captains are in this story.

On the whole, if you are a fan of Season 7, Liz, the Brig or the Silurians and you'll be pleasantly shocked and amazed by what this book has to offer.
