One of my greatest accidental discoveries. Sure, I recalled loving Charlie and the 8th doctor in the main series. In fact, they were my very first introduction to BigFinish and it's doctor who Main Monthly Story Collection. I loved every moment of it. But this, well, what an amazing treat this was!! Absolutely fantastic is all I can say. I was chomping at the bit for more at the conclusion of the first series. So much so I went into research mode and starting reading up on this most fascinating of monster and found that they were actually introduced quite some time ago in the story arc of the Main Collection. So I'm off to buy those stories and I've already bought series 2 and have just started the first episode. It's amazing. Charlie's found herself stranded now in modern earth history. There's some kind of conspiracy underway. It's all very cloak and dagger and very exciting. I can't say enough about this. It's truly one of the very best new series creations by BigFinish. It has a very refreshing new flavour to it. It's own personality. As far as I'm concerned it's now one of my top 2 BigFinish productions and that's saying something I promise you. Absolutely worth a 10/10 rating. I simply can't see how you wouldn't enjoy the ride! Highly Recommended.

Charley is back with the Viyrans and learns that the virus hunting cyborgs have come up with a solution to eliminating all viruses but it’s one that is so insane that the entire Universe depends on her discovering it and thwarting it. Meanwhile, Robert Buckham Sr. has other plans to use the Viyrans for his own profit.

Overall, there are some good moments for Charley in this story including a couple of very moving speeches that called to mind her great appearances in stories like, "Neverland." The biggest problem with the story is that Charley really has very little to do with the actual solution to the story. In this story as well as others, it feels less like she's having an adventure and more like an adventure is happening to her. Hopefully we'll see a more proactive Charley in future sets.

A fast-paced, fun if rather convoluted ending to the series. Unfortunately a few things drag it down for me- quite disappointing that the explanations for what's been going on in the last 3 stories come from one character basically explaining everything with little to no investigation or effort from Charley. Show, don't tell! The other negative point is the character of Bert Buchan who has to be the most annoyingly cartoony character Big Finish have done in ages. On the plus side, it's lovely to see Charley regain some of the wit and spunkiness she used to have in her pre-Viyran days. Overall, a slightly disappointing series but worth it if you're a fan of Charley and the wonderful India Fisher.
