After four parts of having Mike Yates there to listen to the Doctor's stories of his battles with the Hornets, in 'Hive of Horror' we finally have Yates getting to be part of the action as the Doctor, Yates, and Mrs Wibbsey are shrunk down to the size of match heads to face the Queen of the hive in her hive in the mind of a stuffed Zebra.

This is actually my favorite of the five There's some wonderful dramatic tension between Yates and Wibbsey, with a lot of mistrust between the characters. The confrontation of the Queen was marvelous as was hr attempt to turn Yates. I really liked that this story gave Susan Jameson a chance to shine as Mrs. Wibbsey. This story left me wanting more for her as a companion and I'll eagerly look forward to the next serial featuring this character.

Overall, this succeeds and bringing a satisfying conclusion as well as giving Doctor's main co-stars something to do.

The Doctor, Mike Yates and Mrs Wibbsey take on the Queen. Pretty Boring and a poor finish to a overall poor and boring series.

This was one of the stories I didn't want to end. The only problem was I had to wait almost a year for the next story...but the wait is worth it.
