This final play works really only as a nostalgia piece and Big Finish deserves credit for making it available for fans and even getting the original actor to play the Doctor (Trevor Martin) and the daughter of the actress who played Jenny (Charlie Hayes) to come back. Still, as production, it's definitely the weakest of the stage plays. Essentially, it's a script laden with Doctor Who clichés that was worth seeing when it was produced in the 1970s because of the visual spectacle it offered for families watching the show on stage. The companions present particular issues. Jimmy is probably the least likable idea for a companion forever. And the scene where they have the Doctor express how he much appreciates these people he meant an hour ago seems a bit silly, though since this is a new regeneration, I guess that could be part of this alternate Doctor's personality.

Overall, this isn't horrible, but this release is for nostalgia and Doctor Who completists.
