A thoroughly exciting finale as Jago and Litefoot find themselves in danger on the boat and have to confront the cause of the trouble that occurred in the series opener and has been in the background all along. What follows is an action packed and exciting race to the finish. It's probably the fastest pace episode of Jago and Litefoot I've heard. The plot is solid but is let down slightly by an ending that’s a little too predictable.

The mysterious fog or mist is finally explained by Aubrey and Fowler, it would appear they have created a machine which is responsible for the mizpah, and moreover what it is causing. Jago & Litefoot find themselves back in London after the bumblings of Jago damages the machine result in it pumping out a mystifying fog that results in them back in their old town. Jago and Litefoot also learn from Fowler and Aubrey are more than acquaintances from the ship, and what is more Fowler and Aubrey are responsible for the evil that is following them now, tracking them down, and ripping apart anything in it's way. It is not soon however that Jago and Litefoot's vigor and valor are put to the test.

This was really a story in two parts. The first part Jago and Litefoot, still on their cruise, investigate a murder but then focus on a piece of alien technology and an old adventure story. It feels muddled and while it does all fit together, it begins to conclude half way through the episode with a return to London and the familiar voices of Ellie and Quick.
The story then continues with a chase through London, a revelation about what is going on and a final battle.

Its unusual for Jago and Litefoot to finish a series with a weaker story, but sadly this has happened here.
For the first three stories we got stand-alone adventures with a common setting, so the final story wrapping everything up as though the story-arc was critical does not feel right.

The principal actors are in good form as usual with great characters like Aubrey and Lady Danvers playing their parts. I think we could have gotten more cruise stories with this supporting cast rather than rushing them all back home.
