The Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe finds themselves in a city that's suffered a great catastrophe and the TARDIS crew runs into a group of people who are being hunted by the government, while a disaster is about to wipe out the planet ant the TARDIS has disappeared.

This one is clever. wHile I got some idea what was going on, this story surprised me at the end. It also has a message, but the message is thought-provoking and flows naturally from the plot. Overall, a solid gem.

The Apocalypse Mirror is another strong outing for the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe. The setting of a ghostlike future city comes across beautifully, both in the writing and in the sound design. Wendy Padbury and Frazer Hines put in excellent performances and at times this actually feels like a full cast play. The ending seems a little rushed, but there is a good twist to resolve the central mystery, so things stay interesting throughout. A very atmospheric story, highly enjoyable to listen to.
