Doctor Who Magazine - DWM 403

The 403rd issue of Doctor Who Magazine was current from 11 December 2008 through 7 January 2009. It humorously lampooned the magazine's tradition of announcing a new actor as the Doctor by billing that David Morrissey "is the next Doctor", referring to the title of the 2008 Christmas special, The Next Doctor. This also subtly disproved him as the Tenth Doctor's actual successor, since Morrissey played only a pastiche of the Doctor in the special, Jackson Lake.
