I've only just listened to this and I can't remember anything about it already. It's a surprise how something that goes by at such speed can be so utterly bland and forgettable. Stuck with this script even McGann struggles to make an impression.

Beyond that it has a bizarre moment where introducing a brand new unknown character is considered dramatic enough to be a cliffhanger.

Now this is bad, worst main range story since the Silurian Candidate and very disappointing from the usually reliable Scott Handcock.

UNIT are ultra antagonistic for, well I don't know really because the story needs them to be as far as I can tell, if they hadn't been pretty much the whole first episode could have been skipped because there's not much else there.

At the end of episode 2, two characters quite calmly talk about cutting up the Doctor and shooting people in the head but that's instantly forgotten about and then episode 3 tries to redeem them with a - she did it for a good reason all along plot twist but it falls utterly flat and by that point I had lost all interest.

Davison tries but surrounded by supporting characters who are either unlikeable or utterly bland in a story that just plods along even he can't salvage it. Maybe if Tegan had been there the whole thing might have livened up a bit!

What a terrible story, poor Daphne Ashbrook doing her best to keep things interesting as she runs around solving very basic puzzles and dealing with her co star's non performance. Wendy Padbury perks things up in her all too brief appearances but this is a real dud.

The sheer pointlessness of this story has really annoyed me. Apart from a nice cover and the chance to attract a few casual listeners what was the point of bringing in Jamie & Telos into this story - they barely appeared and everything was forgotten in the end.

The Doctor & Leela interacting with the story in the manner of Trials & Tribble-ations might have been fun but that's certainly not here and if you're going to press the reset button at the end anyway then why not do something more radical and have the Doctor & Leela meet Jamie.

As it is the Telos part of the story could have been easily cut out and this could have been a one disc adventure. I thought this was the strongest series of 4th Doctor stories yet and I really enjoyed Krelos but this was terrible.
