Gimmicky and annoying to the extreme. Whilst this story might be fun to others I found it an annoying waste of time. The characters are barely developed and the actual plot is paper thin. There's also some moral ambiguity about the Doctor's actions here.

This story has a lot of problems, but it's been the only story I've really enjoyed from the latest series (excluding specials). Clara makes an immediately positive impression and the eventual revelation is suitably shocking and is brilliantly done. A fair bit of 50th anniversary referencing goes on, which is fine too. Even Rory and Amy are good, even if they are having relationship problems it's not annoying.

Showcases the reasons why New Series Season 6 is the one I consider the worst. It has dodgy characterisation, gimmicks, contrived endings and the elevation of the Doctor into some sort of deity figure. Disappointing.

Gimmicky and angsty. This story is mean spirited and annoying in its treatment of the characters, and has the traditional problems with all such stories; the setting is irrelevant and contrived.
